How to become a member of SCRCS

Please note that our annual membership runs from January to the end of December.

The club seeks to promote a friendly environment for the hobby of model flying and welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. It is the policy of the club however, that members must ensure they are fit and capable of flying a model safely in line with published BMFA guidelines – the club does not conduct assessments on member’s eyesight nor other key faculties required for this purpose – this remains at all times the responsibility of the member. In the absence of a BMFA A certificate, new members, who are not beginners requiring training, may be required to demonstrate their flying competence to a committee member before membership is confirmed.

Annual fees are made up of two elements; BMFA membership / Insurance and the club’s own membership fee. The club fee is reviewed and agreed at the AGM each November for the following year.
